How much does a DC jack repair cost?
For most laptops, we charge $99.90 + the DC jack, which is typically $15. There are some models in which the labor charge may go up to $149.85; including, but not limited to, Alienware, Dell Precision, and most gaming laptops.
There are some special or uncommon styles of DC jacks that range from $25 to $65. In some cases we do not need to replace the jack, in which you only pay the labor! If you would like an estimate, call us with your laptop’s model number at 512-345-8957.
How long does it take?
We stock the most common DC jacks, and if your computer has one of these common types, we can complete the repairs in a business day.*
If we must special order your jack, we will provide our supplier’s shipping options so you can decide how quickly the repair is done.
Will I lose any data?
Not at all! Once the repair is completed, it will be as if nothing ever happened.
Do I have to bring it in to get it repaired?
Yes. Our shop has all the tools and the anti-static environment that ensures the repair is done right. We currently do not provide notebook disassembly on-site.
How long is the warranty?
We provide a 90-day warranty on our DC jack repairs. We also send you off with some tips and tricks to help you preserve the life of the jack. We find if our customers follow these instructions, we never see them back for the same repair again!

*In times of high volume, we may not be able to complete the repairs within a business day. Additionally, if the DC jack needs to be special ordered, this will increase the turnaround time.
